Lmao they already did, the Parker Solar Probe has entered the sun's Alfvénsphere before and will continue to do so on each orbit. It would be pretty arbitrary to decide that only the brighter photosphere counts as truly part of the sun just because it looks like the edge to the naked eye. The apparent clean edge of the photosphere is actually a fuzzy transition zone hundreds of kilometres deep between opaque and transparent solar matter.
