[image]Ladies and gentleman, I’m afraid it’s looking pretty joever. My balance is -731k. Once the loan markets resolve, counting my outstanding loans, I’ll be almost three million mana in the red. It’s been an honour meming with you all. To my investors/creditors, I’m sorry it ends this way. This was always going to end in either glory or disaster, and unfortunately it came to disaster. I’ll make a mini final report once the dust settles and markets finish resolving.

Yesterday I lost almost 100k mana, Donald Trump was inaugurated and immediately began acting as expected, my streamer man got credibly accused of sex crimes, and my bamboo shrimp died. WHAT A FUCKED UP DAY [image][image](Photos are off the shrimp's widow, he was at least twice as big)

Resolves YES if @Tumbles is even slightly late to pay back any mana loan that they intentionally accepted. Any extensions must have been agreed upon in advance.

@Tumbles may choose to resolve this market NO if they don't owe any mana to other users. Once they do so, they will be prohibited from taking on any new loans for three months.

I will use this description as a ledger of what I owe and when I owe it. I will update it as appropriate. All amounts listed include any fees or interest associated with the loan. Dates listed are the final day during which payment is not late (PST -8:00).

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but is there a user on this site who, like Tumbles, is currently taking on loans because they find more good trading opportunities than they have balance to invest in, but unlike Tumbles, does not have one of the worst negative profit track records on the site, and is willing to start with much smaller loans (e.g. 100 mana) to build up lender trust?

I ask because I am currently in the opposite situation of having more balance than I can find good trading opportunities to bet it in, yet I absolutely do not trust Tumbles with my mana haha

@TheAllMemeingEye I'd take a loan at 3% for one month

You could also ask people on the loans channel on discord

@bagelfan What size?

@TheAllMemeingEye Maybe open a bounty for it, check out how /Fion/fions-loansdoes it.

@bagelfan Sent!

@TheAllMemeingEye You can always dump mana into safe bets like NO on any variant of 'do aliens exist?' or the like.

@TheAllMemeingEye I would be interested in a loan! I have successfully paid back four loans in the past, on time, never had an issue

@TheAllMemeingEye I would take an arbitrarily large loan for 1 month at 3% interest

@bagelfan @Robincvgr thanks, I look forward to doing business, I'm sure with time the bagel-robin financial complex shall eclipse tumbles if y'all maintain even a basic modicum of predictive skill

@TenShino seemingly bounties have been removed, but tomorrow when my weekly market creation bonus refreshes I will probably create a market something like "The All Memeing Bank - will I lose more than I make on lending mana in 2025?" in which I can use the description as a publicly visible ledger

@TheAllMemeingEye you can still make a bounty if you duplicate an existing one

@bagelfan @Robincvgr

It looks like you both have excellent track records of consistent positive growth, especially compared to the competition

@Robincvgr if I tip a comment in a regular market does it create the same publicly visible label as paying a bounty? If unsure I could tip you 12 mana and you could tip 10 back (2 mana difference to cover momentary inconvenience)

@TheAllMemeingEye nooo, everybody is coming in and undercutting my interest rates! 😅

@bagelfan @Robincvgr maybe if I retire as a trader I should write an article on acquiring loans lol. Tip #1 would be to fish for 6+ month loans by default, 1-2 month loans are only for special opportunities. This is for at least five different reasons, one of them that seems relevant here is that a loan that sticks around longer creates much much more social proof than a short term loan.

god damn this is high margin

@Predictor please dont tell me u gave tumbles a loan aswell?

@amitiscool I don’t have money to blow like that otherwise I certainly would.

@bens ah haha thanks for posting

@bens Are mods going to be making the stepping in here??? I am afraid of the collapse, I have no FDIC for the mana funds and I worry for the banks! Why is the alarms not sounding here? Ring-a-ling-a-ding-ding, red alerts!!! The dangerous territory is being entered. Unprecedented and nobody is worried for the futures right now??? How can so many be so foolish with the funding?

There's always an out.

@Quroe I don't think I can afford to drop 10k $$$ on mana within the next two months 🤔

@Tumbles Honestly if it gets to that point u could consider paying off ppl for better rates than USD to mana

@copiumarc I think that goes against the spirit of the market tbh

@bens There is precident.

@Tumbles I am shaking in the britches!!! It is the roller coaster ride of the lifetime that is for certain, like the mr. bones, but I am wetting the beak for the big payoff, please do not failing sir!

@CryptoNeoLiberalist i nominate @Joshua to backstop tumbles' loans. i can only assume he's down

@Ziddletwix They call me Joshua Powell
