This market closes when scientific consensus has reached near certainty on this issue, either by finding a black hole, or by exploring the solar system enough that it's considered essentially impossible. Close date on this market will be extended indefinitely.
Note that potential man-made black holes, such as those some have proposed could occur in particle colliders, do not count. This question refers to black holes as might be found by astronomers.
@JonathanRay yes, but there's no known mechanism for producing black holes of that size except perhaps primordial black holes. A 1000-ton black hole would have a lifetime close to the age of the universe. So that's a lower bound. Anything over 10^17kg would probably be detected.
