Seems too long to read imo (473 pages). Might still buy it.

@EnopoletusHarding is that the Landmark Edition. It is really heavy with illustrations (maps) and annotations. The original text isn't too long, and there is always wikipedia to get the context for the bits that truly intrigue you.
