Nebraska is currently considering switching away from their hybrid system for 2024, in order to favor Trump. Maine has a Democratic majority in their state and could react with a corresponding switch to favor Harris.

It may already be too late for Maine to change their laws before the election, depending on whether the deadline for the law to take effect is when voters cast their ballots vs when the electoral college meets to cast their ballots.
