Background

International Olympiads are prestigious academic competitions held annually in various subjects like mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, informatics, earth science, and astronomy/astrophysics. Each country typically sends a team of 4-6 students selected through rigorous national competitions and training camps. The selection process is highly competitive, with typically less than 1% of participants making it to the international level

I am preparing for both qualifying for IESO (International Earth Science Olympiad) and IOAA (International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics). I have not previously qualified for the international stage of any olympiad. I live in the United States, and I am currently a junior in high school.

Resolution Criteria

This market will resolve YES if I:

1. Successfully complete all qualifying rounds in my country's selection process for the 2024-2025 season

2. Am officially selected as a member of the national team

3. Meet all eligibility requirements (age, academic status, etc.)

The market will resolve NO if any of the above criteria are not met, or if I:

• Fail to advance through any stage of the qualification process

• Qualify for the alternate team but not the main team

• Am disqualified for any reason

• Withdraw from the selection process

• Do not meet eligibility requirements

I will be allowed to bet on this market, however I am only allowed to buy YES shares. I will answer further questions in the comments, and keep this updated. I expect many people to buy NO shares due to the difficulty of this feat.
